Pet Day
On December 9, 2006, Lifeline foundation had its first Pet Day for the BF community. We recognize and appreciate the value of our pets. Our dogs––whether they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes––have kept us company, alerted us of danger, and remained loyal no matter what.
In line with our support for our community, we dedicated a day just for our pet dogs. It was an exciting, fun-filled day (with all those freebies, yeah)! We invited different pet care organizations like Love Pets.Com, Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA), and others to talk about responsible pet care tips, give free vaccinations (Thank you Dr. Geoff of Philippine Animal Hospital Association), and pet grooming. Along with these organizations, we had booths set up for pet accessories (Eezy Dog), pet nutrition (Royal Canin & Purina), pet grooming (Shieldgard & Oxyfresh), and T-shirts with pet-friendly statements like “Be kind to animals or else…”(Bohemian Nation). We also had a booth for some girls selling orange juice and chocolate milk for a cause. And what a treat from Nestea iced tea to give free drinks for all on a hot day (thank you very much)!
One of the highlights of that day was the dog walk where all the participants were taught the proper way to hold a leash and to walk their dogs. The participants walked in a row with their dogs without hassle. Then Dr. Dog did finger painting with some kids––that was fun! Our aim to foster a spirit of unity and to communicate that we are a foundation committed to the welfare of our BF Family has made Pet Day a success.

We love our pets, and animals too. And Its neat to meet and be with people who care for these wonderful creatures. It was fun seeing dogs in different shapes, sizes and even character! The Pet day was a opportunity to meet other pet lovers and have fun! Hope there will be another one.
I went to Lifeline Community’s Pet Day with my kids. We had a blast! My daughter was thrilled to learn how to properly walk a dog. Yeah, and it was great meeting other pet lovers and protectors. Can’t wait for the next Pet Day! More power to Lifeline Foundation.
Pet Day was a blast! It was wonderful to see different organizations help take care of animals that are in need and give them proper homes. Seeing all the different kinds of dogs made me smile. Thank you Lifeline for a fun-filled day. Wish there will be another pet day that is just for cats.
