Wishing a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and saying thank you for the great work of our diligent students and wonderful teachers in the Sigman Satellite School of Lifeline Foundation, Mindoro
From July till October, 27 young and motivated students in Sigman, Mindoro Occidental attended Lifeline’s supplementary math and English classes. It was the first batch with not only ESL classes, but also extra math classes held by our wonderful teachers Sheryl and Jen.
Hard work must be honoured, so we organized a small Christmas Party for our Sigman Satellite School. With bags full of certificates and little gifts for all students, we left Manila early morning on Tuesday, December 14. After a brief stopover in Abra de Ilog (to buy burgers for the Christmas Party), we perfectly arrived by the time our students finished their afternoon ESL and math classes.
All students received a Certificate of Completion for completing the math and English classes, and our top students were given Achievement Award certificates and extra prizes (stuffed toys and pillows). As an early Christmas gift, all students got a bag with pencils and clothes. It was great to see their faces light up with joy when they opened their small gift bags!
Thank you to all the donors who gave clothes, stuffed toys, pillows and pencils. With these donations we were able to make 27 gift bags!
Thank you to Turn Around and Vanessa E. Matibag for sending a box full of pencils from the USA!
Thank you Teacher Sheryl and Teacher Jen for your great work with our students!
Thank you to all our students, who are studying so hard in the Sigman Satellite School of Lifeline Foundation!
We’re always looking forward to any donations for the students and the community in Sigman. So if you have any shirts, slippers or toys that are just collecting dust in your closet, we would love to take them with us on our next trip to our Sigman Satellite School in Mindoro!
